Lakeshore Drive Vintage

This collaboration with our Chicago studio partner, Claire Staszak of Centered By Design, was such a fun space to design the cabinetry for.  The new owner of the space wanted a bright, crisp baker’s kitchen that was not only functional but also a perfect space to entertain in.  The original kitchen was very dated with cabinetry in yellows and reds and large linoleum flooring in those same colors.  Keeping the beautiful red Viking range was a must along with the existing Traulsen refrigerator that we needed to design around.  The owner wanted a table not only for seating, but also for function as she is a passionate bread maker and needs to spread out as she is baking.  We used our Haas cabinet line in a shaker inset door style.  Many of the cabinets had to be customized to create the look we wanted to achieve and as with all of our lines we carry, Haas made that possible.  Choosing the soft color, Urban Dream with a custom painted blush background in the wall of glass cabinets, was a perfect choice to create a warm, yet bright, clean look in this beautiful Lake Shore Drive, Chicago condominium.
