Randy & Wendy Franz, owners of Studio 912, have a passion for what they do, making it their mission to create spaces that bring inexplicable peace and joy to their clients lives by creating functional, efficient and beautiful spaces. Randy and Wendy bring to their business the expertise of having been builders/certified general contractors for 17 years before starting Studio 912. Wendy is educated in kitchen and bath design having received her education from Harper College, taking the Kitchen & Bath design portion of their Interior Design degree program. With Studio 91 having a custom woodworking shop as part of the business allows the customization of cabinetry, whether it be adding to or building out cabinets from one of their semi-custom manufactured cabinet lines; creating one-off custom pieces (such as floating shelves, hoods, banquettes, tables and more); all the way to creating an entire space using their own Bespoke 912 cabinet line.

Randy & Wendy with Studio 912 remodeled our kitchen, master bathroom AND made two custom fireplaces, kitchen hood, and barn door for our home in Lincoln Park. I cannot recommend them highly enough! They are kind, down to earth, listen, and are super patient. I joked with them that they are the Chip & Joanna of Chicago! We wanted a range hood for our kitchen, but no vendor made one to the height we needed. Not to fret, Randy made us one and even matched the style with the new fireplace he made. No job is too hard or too complicated for them. Did I mention how nice they are? You will not regret working with them! Trust me as I hired them twice and would hire them again and again!

After waiting 25 years to make the big decision to remodel our kitchen, including taking down a wall and removing plaster walls and ceilings, the choice of who to work with was upon us. After talking with a couple of places and after meeting Randy and Wendy of Studio 912, the decision was clear. Why?
Studio 912 let us do all the demolition ourselves which was critical to our budget. They immediately asked what our budget was and respected not only our budget all the way through but made recommendations on what the market would bear for resale value. When their proposal came, there were a list of options for where we could spend a little more or save money and that was fantastic to see.
Wendy's layout design was gorgeous and she had many challenges. Our kitchen was only 9 by 11 until the wall came down and she had to deal with 2 doorways and many windows as we were combining the old dining room with the new kitchen. Her color choices were also wonderful as well as recommendations on fixtures, handles, etc. The installation was spot on and if there were any delays we immediately knew about them. Randy checked the quality of each cabinet and even decided to return one as he wasn't satisfied with the way it was delivered.
I could go on and on but we continue to get compliments on the kitchen all the time and I don't think there is a day that goes by where I still can't believe I'm standing in my kitchen. Thank you Studio 912.

Studio 912 helped make our dream kitchen a reality! Wendy helped us pick the perfect cabinetry, counters, farm sink and backsplash to seamlessly match our home’s design. She took it from a dated kitchen that felt dark and closed in to a kitchen I might drool over in a magazine. Randy and Wendy delivered our kitchen cabinets including island when promised and that's saying something during COVID! We've chosen their cabinetry for our past basement and master bath remodels as well with equally pleasing results. The range of products start at "really nice" and go up from there. Their showroom is extensive for idea creation or finalization. It's frankly hard to believe their pricing is in the pack and not at the top. If they don't carry or can't make it custom for you, then its likely a wood product you probably don't need anyway.

We enjoyed working with Wendy and Randy at Studio 912. We tapped their expertise to help us design and order custom cabinets for our kitchen renovation. We have an older home with a tricky footprint to work with so really leaned on them to help our contractor with design plans. Given some unexpected issues that arose once we opened some walls we had to make a few adjustments to our cabinet order and they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.
